Apple Is Shipping 1.2 Million iPads per Month

Apple is shipping 1.2 million iPads per month, and should be rising to 2.5 million units per month by the end of this year. According to Digitimes Research analyst Kuo Ming-Chi, shipments stood at 700,000 units per months when the product launched in April.

“Samsung Electronics will start volume shipments of 9.7-inch panels for the Apple iPad in July with monthly shipments reaching 300,000-500,000 units, according to market sources.

LG Display shipped about 800,000-900,000 9.7-inch iPad panels in May, up from over 700,000 units in April, 470,000 units in March, and 300,000 units in February, the sources noted.”

And they said that there was no market for tablets.
