iPad in China? It’s Called “iPed” And Runs Android

What about Chinese rip-offs? Most of the times they come with silly fake names and they suck. But what about a Chinese rip-off that is called “iPed” and runs Google’s Android?

According to Kotaku, this clone is on sale in Shenzhen, which is the location of the largest Foxconn plant in China. Yeah, the same Foxconn we’re hearing about every single day. The “device” comes in a box that looks just like the iPad’s one, but instead of having the traditional iPod icon in the dock, it has an “iPed” one. Also, the instruction manual says “APad, Entertainment and Internet Device”.

You can buy this amazing thing for just 100 bucks. Like you’d want to.
