The best RSS app for iPad has finally come: Reeder for iPad has been approved by Apple (it took a while) and it’s now propagating in the international App Stores.
In case you missed it, check out our review of Reeder for iPad here.
“Reeder provides a great Google Reader experience, and you’ll find yourself constantly coming back to the application to catch up with the news, share, fave stuff and save articles for later. Even when you have a queue of 200 items to be processed, it will be a real pleasure to check those items using Reeder. The fast engine and smooth animations surely help to this matter. Is there something Reeder can do better? Maybe the developer could make it even faster in a future version. Or perhaps new interaction methods will be introduced and the existing ones will be refined to perfection. No matter how you look at it, Reeder for iPad is a gem.”
The application makes a clever use of the iPad’s native pinch / zoom gestures to present feeds to you as stacks of news which you can open just like you do in the Photos app. Many people feared that this implementation of the gesture would force Apple to reject the app (it happened before), but it turns out that Reeder got past the approval process just fine. It’s great, because I feared too that Silvio would turn off the feature.
Reeder for iPad is available at $4.99 in the App Store. Go download it as soon as you can, because it’s simply the best RSS app out there.
UPDATE: Here’s the download link. Stay tuned for something big about Reeder coming on MacStories tomorrow.
