Exclusive Sneak Peek: Walkie Talkie 3000 for iPhone

When a developer or a designer contacts me on iChat asking me to talk about his upcoming application, it’s usually a good thing. But when the application seems as promising as Walkie Talkie 3000 does, well..that’s great.

Walkie Talkie 3000 is currently being developed by Jonah Grant and designed by my friend Matthew Rex Downham.

W.T. 3000 - as the name suggests - will be walkie talkie application for iPhone, it will work via bluetooth and it’s gonna have themes support. Wait, wait, wait. Themes? Yeah: Matthew has just confirmed me that there will be some sort of user voting on new theme ideas and you can also get the chance to see your theme into the app. Nice.

Anyway, the interface already looks awesome. As you can see from the screenshots below, Matthew is doing an amazing job in making Walkie Talkie 3000 look better than any similar application out there. Well, I don’t know if there’s a Walkie Talkie app in the App Store, but with bluetooth and wi-fi support planned, I’ll be sure to download it and try it. Also, seems like it’s gonna be affordable and it will offer some social features too.

Obviously, I’ll review it on the launch day and give away some promo codes. Be sure to follow @wt3k to stay updated!
