Apple Releases New Remote App for iPhone and iPad

Just like we expected, Apple has just released version 2.0 of Remote app. The new version includes support for iPad (universal), Retina Display-graphics, support for iTunes 10 and Apple TV.

Update #1: I just installed the app on my iPad and tested it with my iTunes library. It looks…good, but Apple made some weird UI choices to represent the iTunes interface on the iPad. It’s the usual iTunes window you know running on a tablet. I didn’t see that coming.

First, I turned on Home Sharing both on the iPad and iTunes 10:

Then I had access to my iTunes library:

And by tapping on the volume icon I enabled AirPlay with my Airport Express station. It works perfectly.
