iPad Browser Usage Surpasses Android, iPod touch

With so many iPhone handsets in the world, it’s still the most convenient device to get your Internet on when you’re in a cab, in the airport, in an airplane, at grandma’s, etc. But those measly Android and iPod touch devices? They’re not being used as much as the iPad. From rock bottom, more people have come to adopt the iPad as their instant on Internet device of choice.

While iPhone browser usage took a slight ding just as the iPad got its second wind at the start of may with more users getting their hands on the new device. As of June 2010, the iPad has 0.17% of browser usage between these devices, with Android usage at 0.14% and the iPod touch remaining stale at 0.12%. From what I’ve seen, Android browser usage isn’t being affected by the iPad (Android owners probably don’t own iPads - and their browser usage has only increased), and it’s only been the iPhone whose browser usage has depleted by 1%.
