If you’ve always fancied a super fast Mac but cried when you saw the price, why not build one yourself in a cardboard box? This guy didA guy called Kalvin, who works at a company called One Block Off The Grid, was asked to build a hackintosh for someone he worked with.
He ended up with a pretty decent machine, it had a 2.66 Intel Core i5 CPU, a 1TB hard drive, 8GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM, and an XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GB DDR5 graphics card. To top it all off he got Snow Leopard running using iBoot and MultiBeast.
Although this doesn’t look quite as good as an off the shelf Mac Pro, it sure as hell saved him a few pennies. Check out the video below.
