I’ve been beta testing this for almost a month now and it’s great: CloudApp today introduces CloudApp Pro, a subscription-based version of its popular file upload / URL shortening service that allows you to upload unlimited files up to 250MB, keep them forever and use your custom domain for short URLs.
For those who don’t know what CloudApp is and missed our review, it’s an online service that enables you to quickly shorten any URL and upload any file from any app on your computer through a dedicated Mac app and a great plugin system. You can assign a system-wide hotkey to CloudApp, and upload files from your Finder or documents you’re working on in Photoshop, shorten links from the browser, share song URLs from Spotify. It’s fast and lightweight.
Now, for just 4 Euros a month, you get unlimited files and a fancy custom domain (which you’ll need to manually forward to CloudApp’s server). Like I said, I’ve been testing this and it’s totally worth it if you love CloudApp. The free version will allow you to upload 10 files per day and keep them for 3 months, unlimited bookmarks but no custom domain. It’s a good deal.
You can upgrade to CloudApp Pro from your account page.
