Newsstand Goes 2.2, Tumblr 1.1 Approved

I love when iTunes tells me there are updates available.

When the applications are Tumblr and Newsstand, things a lot more interesting.

Newsstand 2.2

Newsstand has got some big improvements in this update. First, the sync process has been rewritten and now the application can fetch new articles of categories instead of downloading every single feeds. This is a huge step forward, which makes Newsstand as fast as Reeder.

From a feature standpoint, there are tons of new tweaks and refinements: a new sharing menu (sexy!), Google Reader sharing, Save Immediately, Default tags for Delicious and option to hide read feeds.

Guess, the king is back?

Tumblr 1.1

This is a long awaited update which will make love this app again. The app just feels a lot better than before, here’s what’s new:

- Video posts

- Native editing (whoa)

- Rewritten Dashboard and Advanced Post Options

- Search

- Built in web browser
