I’ve told you last week how much I love the Cydia Store: it’s a great place to discover and download apps Apple will never approve in the AppStore. You know, SDK violations. And I mean applications like Orbit, Overboard and Multifl0w, biteSms, the reasons why many people decide to jailbreak their phones.
Today I’d like to talk about two new apps from the Cydia Store which will dramatically improve the way you use the iPhone camera.
Snappy - $1.99
Snappy allows you to launch Camera.app from anywhere on your iPhone. Just tap and hold your finger on the status bar and Camera will appear, letting you snap a picture wherever your are without leaving your running application. As you can guess it’s a terrific time saver. Snappy also works directly from the LockScreen, so you won’t have to go to the SpringBoard everytime, but you can disable this feature.
Here’s a video that shows how Snappy works.
A great app, highly reccomended.
SnapTap - $0.99
And here’s another tweak you’ll love. With SnapTap you can take pictures using the volume buttons instead of tapping the virtual button on the iPhone screen. And as you can guess, it’s way better. It works just as advertised, no compatibility issues with Snappy.
