There’s occasionally the need to send files server-side without wanted or needing to access a full FTP client. OneWay for Mac OS X is a contextual uploader, allowing users to simply right click and ship.
Sure, some would say, “Just download Transmit! It puts icons on your desktop!” And while it’s true that I could just drag and drop files onto my servers thanks to Transmit’s newest features, not all of us need to pay for Transmits luxuries compared to free alternatives. OneWay is simply something that makes your life a teensy bit simpler, is free, and works quite well.
Right clicking an item allows you to send items off to a server (in our case MacStories land), meaning sharing files or simply storing them for later is as easy as pie. OneWay makes FTP and SFTP protocols available, but I got thinking how badass Rackspace Cloudspace or Amazon S3 support could be. And if OneWay program automatically returned links to the clipboard, it’d be game over. But for now, this simple FTP / SFTP uploader makes it super simple to move files through OS X’s services. You can download it here.
