It’s that time of the year again, when an Apple rumors blog reports that they’ve got intel about a touch-enabled iMac on its way. This time, LoopRumors takes the lead:
“LOOPRumors received a tidbit of information today suggesting Apple is planning to develop a hybrid OS into their next iMac. The iMac should be equipped with both Mac OS X and a touch interface for iOS.”
This is one of the most absurd things I’ve heard in a while. So why are we linking to this source? Because we’re tired of hearing this story, and this has to stop. The Mac OS X environment has always been clearly distanced from iOS (and iPhone OS before) and while it’s safe to say that we’ll see some kind of “contamination” in the future, the idea of a hybrid computer running both the operating systems is silly.
Apple is not going to ship hybrids, get over it. With all due respect, of course.
Enjoy your iPad, instead.
