OmniFocus for iPad is out, but I’m sure many of you iPad owners out there don’t need all the features of OmniGroup’s huge software to get things done. Maybe you just need to remember what to do every single day, you don’t need contexts, tags, OTA sync and *insert another must-have GTD feature here*.
Your only concern is that you always forget what to do. If so, take a look at Random Accident’s first iPad app, Today’s List.
“Today’s List is a focused and classy todo list application for your iPad. Don’t spend so much time in your todo app that you forget to get things done!”
Indeed. Things (ehm) are simple here, really: you insert items to complete, the app lists them. Once done, tap and the app marks them as complete. Oh, and you get a nice sound notification, too.( you can turn Sounds off in the Settings.app)
Who’s the average user of Today’s List? Good question. My father, my friends - people who don’t need the features of apps like OmniFocus and Things but still would like to use an app that helps them remember their tasks. On the other hand, I can see some hardcore GTD users running Today’s List out of their “pro” workflow, as another place to dump all their daily activities.
If you look at it this way, then Today’s List is a pretty sweet app. Available at $3.99 in the App Store.
We’ve got 2 promo codes for Today’s List. To enter the contest, just leave a comment below and tell us why you’d need to have an app like this. Winners will be announced on Sunday. Good luck!
