I haven’t seen any real talent on the Android Marketplace, which might explain why Microsoft is trolling Apple’s App Store, seeking out developers to “extend beyond your existing platforms and unto our new Windows Phone 7 platform.” I’d rather Microsoft prove to me they have a killer phone before enticing me to join Redmond’s army, but I suppose you should be at least flattered.
Today the App Store is Two Years Old!
Is it that time already? The App Store is two years old today, marking another successful year of iOS development, the launch of a new platform (the iPad), and a bunch of new great applications we’re lucky enough to review. Happy Birthday App Store!

Apple Targeting ‘Other’ Tablet Shoppers?
Interested in the mythical HP Slate, the compact Dell Streak, an Android powered micro-tablet, or something called a Netpad? Why not try an iPad?
While I wasn’t able to reproduce the advertising on Google.com, TechCrunch is right when they say that Google.co.uk results show iPad Google AdWords when you search for any of the above terms. I don’t know what Apple has to fear from the European market; the Dell Streak and gimmicky Android tablets shouldn’t pose a threat to Cupertino’s empire. I suppose it’s better to be safe than not, but it’s kind of an interesting tactic when the iPad is only the most popular thing on earth besides the iPhone 4.

Apple’s Golden Age
Apple is 50% larger than they were in 2009. They have a revenue of $41 billion, larger than any company in the United States. It’s estimated by the end of 2010, Apple will increase their revenue to a grand total of $63,409 billion. At this rate, they will surpass Exxon as the largest company in America. This is Apple’s Golden Age. Financial analysts, take note: Andy Zaky is incredibly bright when it comes to stock and microeconomics.Be sure to read his full report on Seeking Alpha.

Fever & Ashes, The Full Review
Color us red – Federico and I were never Fever users until recently. Supposedly we had been missing out on one of the world’s greatest RSS applications, and sequentially we were told to, “Get out.” So both of us bit the bullet a couple weeks ago and dropped the $30 from our paychecks just to see what all of the hype is about. And after a bit of monkeying around with Nearly Free Speech, both of us now have relatively cheap server space to host it all. As a result, we have a review.
Augmented Reality by Junaio for Android and iPhone can Animate Objects
Bringing in big possibilities for augmented reality, Junaio’s application allows others to ‘glue’ in their own experience. Potentionally, people will develop some interesting things - such as the ability to animate static, real life objects into 3D on your iPhone.
The iPhone 4 Gets a Ridiculous (Yet Cool!) DSLR Upgrade
The iPhone 4 has a pretty great camera as it is, but how can you make even better? Outfit it with a full-size SLR lens.
Can Apple fit a 5MP Camera into the iPod touch?
Just as I got all excited with the iPod touch rumors, iFixit via MacRumors tears down my initial excitement with why the iPod touch could have FaceTime sans a snap & shoot camera. We know that with the iPod nano, video sensors can be significantly smaller than what’s used to snap photographs. So while Apple could implement a bunch of movie features, they’d be hard pressed to install a snapshot camera unless the design of the iPod touch changes dramatically (it basically has to get a little fatter). But sometimes you have to move a little backwards to move really far forwards – I really want to see the iPod touch become my next point-and-shoot camera. Kyle Wiens basically told me I’m dreaming.
