iPhone 4 Bumpers Also a Hit

While I admit it’s somewhat of a silly product, Apple’s hip Bumpers for the iPhone 4 are apparently a big sell. TUAW reports that the cotton candy colors are almost selling as fast as the iPhone, four of the six colors – pink, white, orange, and blue – now have delayed shipping for July 2nd. We don’t know how many have actually sold, but the fact that shipping dates are being pushed back means that people are genuinely interested in protected their stainless steel investment.

Apple, these Bumpers should glow in the dark. I’d buy one of each color.

Macworld: Safari 5 Secrets

While they aren’t necessarily secrets, they are rather hidden features of the browsers that casual users might not even discover or need to explore. Though once revealed, they can be incredibly helpful. Macworld has posted four Safari 5 secrets that you might be interested in if you’re wanting the most out of Apple’s new web browser.

AT&T Investigating iPhone 4 Pre-order Security Issues

The iPhone 4 pre-orders were plagued with an incredible mess of mis-payments, wrong account information, and overall bad juju. Yesterday Gizmodo readers sent the infamous blog details (rather, complaints) of the day’s events. It became an incredible security issue, as people ended up logging into others accounts - which allowed customers to purchase, change, or update information in their name. What’s worse is that of the customer’s who were successful, some were overcharged for their orders, or others had completely screwed up order information ranging from the wrong phone to weird plans.

As Charles who wrote in to Gizmodo puts it, “AT&T Sucks.”

iPhone 4 Demand Reported to be 10x Bigger than 3GS

Don’t get too excited just yet – we seriously doubt Apple really had ten million successful iPhone 4 pre-orderes amongst the problems AT&T had yesterday. Despite our wishful thinking, 9 to 5 Mac reports that Geman Telekom (who had problems similar to AT&T) revealed to NTV that demand for the iPhone 4 is ten times higher than that of the iPhone 3GS. Needless to say, 9 to 5 Mac is just as skeptical as we are, and even NTV doesn’t recognize that amount in a recent report this morning. It’s suggested that Apple has probably hit the the million mark, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated with more official numbers once the tally is counted.

Check the updates after the break!

GameSalad is a Game Creation Tool for Mac, iPhone, and iPad

If you’re not impressed with the games at this week’s E3, why not make your own? TUAW reports that GameSalad gives anyone the ability to create games for the Mac, iPhone, and iPad. If you’ve ever wanted to create the platform adventure of your dreams, this is your chance. Though TUAW admits,

“Apparently, lots of people have that know-how, because there are already over 700 games that have used GameSalad’s development kit to bring their titles to the App Store. Herring showed me a few of them, and while they were playable, none of them really intrigued me. It’s tough to blame GameSalad for that, though; most of the fault on the games that I played came from the creators, not the tools.”

Hopefully we’ll see someone put these tools to good use, and in the meantime you can check it out for yourself here.
