Wunderlist For iOS Gets A Hefty Update To 1.2.0
Wunderlist is an excellent, cross-platform alternative to apps like Things if you want to access your to-do lists anywhere, and today there’s a big update that brings even more functionality to the already flexible manager. Alongside visual improvements to the interface between a new icon, some sidebar adjustments, and three new backgrounds, the iOS version has been updated to support landscape mode, push notifications, and email tasking (manage your tasks from your inbox). Wunderlist also sports a new date picker and an “optimized” detail view for tasks. If you’re a Wunderlist user, check the App Store to download the latest free update.
MacStories Product Review: XtremeMac InCharge Auto For iPad
You shouldn’t have to sacrifice the lack of a power outlet when you’re traveling, and I’m betting your iPhone’s GPS is quickly draining that once long-lasting battery. Whether it be for in-car navigation, the passenger playing a game, or those movie watching kids in the back seat, you’ll need a good plan in place to keep those iDevices juiced throughout your trip. A good ol’ fashioned car charger should do the trick.
Minecraft To Officially Come To iOS This Year
If you’re as addicted to Minecraft as I am, then you’ll be excited to learn that the hit block building title will be arriving to iOS later this year. Gamasutra reports that Markus Persson has revealed to the site that the game won’t be an exact port, but rather will be granted features that “make sense” for touch screen devices.
Minecraft is currently in the beta stages, with a full release planned sometime this year. So far over 1.3 million copies of the game have been purchased, with nearly five million registered accounts on the official site.
Minecraft has been a massive success in indie gaming, and there’s been a lot of interest from the community in an iOS version since the game’s inception. Aron Neiminen, a new recruit to the Mojang team working on Minecraft, will be developing the iOS version that’s to be released at an unannounced date.

MacStories Product Review: iKit Exec Case For iPad
Any product shouldn’t go completely exposed if you care about keeping your devices in their best condition, though the baggage of a flip-style case or ‘tuff wrap can be unfulfilling for those picky few. If you have an eye for style and a need to stay fit & slim, iKit’s Exec iPad Case will smoothly slip onto your iPad for a brand new finish.
Make GIFs From Your iPhone With Giffer!
If you’re looking to create the next hit animated .gif for Internet laughs, Giffer! for the iPhone can chain photographs together to create those animated favorites. While you can’t take photographs from Giffer!, you can choose from several pics in your library to link together a series of images for quick animations which can be shared to Facebook, Twitter, or copied to the clipboard for easy pasting into MMS or an online message board. The animations are super easy to create: simply add photos from the library, adjust a few settings like frame delay and background color, give your .gif a name, and you’re off watching your creation in a mobile theater. It’s very cool, I love the button styles in the app, and you’ll find lots more to like once you’ve embarrassed a few friends on Facebook. Giffer! is only a $1.99 in the App Store.
MacStories Product Review: XtremeMac Play-Through Sleeve
“Protection Transparente.” Two words couldn’t more boldly describe the hybrid case + sleeve XtremeMac is hoping to find the niche market for. An iPad sleeve is an iPad companion for those who want the protection of case, but still appreciate the naked qualities of aluminum when in use. A middle ground was met somewhere as a plastic shield was added to reveal the iPad’s display, yet the full body coverage of neoprene padding couldn’t quite constitute a case. Today, we look at the weird offspring dubbed the Play-Through Sleeve.
Gamerami Serves News, Upcoming Game Info On Demand
Growing up, I was a subscriber of Nintendo Power and the later (manlier) Game Informer as I grew into my predestined Xbox phase. High school was great for zombie killing, but between college and MacStories I’ve little time to play or let alone get a heads up about the latest upcoming games. Gamerami is a mobile news stand that makes sifting through the latest titles easy and rather painless, and it just might save your butt when you’re on the spot. At least now I don’t look like a total nobody when I’m asked what cool & new games are coming out on the PS3.
Game Preview: Rockin’ Rockets for iOS
Imagine you’re just minding your own business on the cattle farm when alien UFOs invade. Thinking fast, you man the grain silo and unhatch the lid, revealing a seemingly endless payload of clearly illegal black-market warheads. Grandpa was right! Those missiles would come in handy someday!
There is no explanation as to why you’re the target against alien angst (or why you have so much gosh darned ammunition), but they’ll take you dead or alive either way. An upcoming game for iOS, Rockin’ Rockets will have you tapping your way to victory as you destroy alien combatants on land, sea, and air. It’s a finger frenzy that’s bound to tucker out even the most muscular thumbsicles, and we promise you’ll be doing much more than shooting to stay alive long enough to outlast the alien threat. We’ll keep your interest peaked with a screenshot after the break, but in the meantime you can subscribe to receive updates for a chance to win a free copy when it launches. Also, be sure to follow the dev team @RocketsApp for explosive updates as well if you’re on the Twitter-tubes.
