Square Enix’ Chaos Rings has turned out to be a huge hit in the App Store: after all the positive reviews and users’ feedback, Chaos Rings (which, for those who don’t know, it’s a typical japanese RPG) is now the top grossing app in nine countries, and the devs confirmed it’s also headed to the iPad as “Chaos Rings HD”.
From the developers’ Facebook page:
“I was moved to try CHAOS RINGS HD on iPad..
Creators in Media Vision are so nice and clever that actually the game launched and moved!
It was so exciting and impressive, especially battle scenes!
Of course it needs many revising and adjustments, but now I seriously think CHAOS RINGS HD is quite a good idea, if CHAOS RINGS is appreciated.”
I didn’t buy the iPhone version because I thought there was an iPad one in the works. This is something we should look forward to, and I believe it will also drive the iPad sales in Japan in the first period. If RPGs on the iPad will turn out to be good and a market success, I think Nintendo will have to face very bad times in Japan.
