iPad Knockoff Runs Android - Doesn’t Look Half Bad

In the land of China, KIRF (keeping it real fake) products are quite common – some of the most notorious being attempts at mimicking Apple’s iPhone. Today, we have our first glimpse at an iPad KIRF… running Android.

I’m not sure if this KIRF actually ships in an iPad box (I assume it does as Engadget reports ‘unboxing’), but it would be quite funny considering that the Android and iPhone home-screens look nothing alike. Engadget says they’ll have one during their next Engadget Show, which should be quite hilarious. Android has been on tablets and is touted to go more mainstream, but it’s quite flattering that a company would go through the trouble of replicating the Android experience in an iPad frame. I guess that speaks highly of Apple’s decided form factor. Check out the images at Engadget’s gallery for shots of the Android wannabe.
