Movies Now HD: Beautiful, Useful - I Wish It Worked In Italy

I’m no cinema expert, but I enjoy watching a good movie every once in a while. You know, when you have those 2 hours you don’t what to do with. I also find myself interested in knowing what’s the next big movie coming out, maybe because I’m a sucker for news. I followed the whole Toy Story 3 thing with so much interest I can’t wait for the movie to come out here.

Should someone make an app for that? Box office movies, new trailers - perhaps with the possibility to buy tickets from inside the app? It turns out someone made Movies Now HD.

Available on the iPhone as well as Movies Now 2 ($0.99 in the App Store) I’ve decided to purchase Movies Now HD, which at $1.99 includes both the iPad and iPhone versions. Movies Now allows you to buy tickets from movietickets.com, and that its most important feature. You can enter your location, choose a theater, browse the available movies and tap, buy a ticket. It’s awesome, simple, useful. At least I think it is. I can’t use the app in Italy, as MT is not available here.

Then why the heck did you purchase this, Federico? Because it’s beautiful to look at (seriously, it’s impressive) and because it provides an easy way for me to a) stay updated with the latest releases and b) watch trailers of new movies. I told you I’m into the trailers thing. You can add movies to your wishlist, create multiple wishlists for each location, share a movie description via email and even see all the showtimes in local theaters. The execution is perfect.

I know I’ll never fully use Movies Now HD. But if you can, if you’re in the US or Canada and can access MT.com, go buy it right now. It’s totally worth it.
