Just when I thought I was done with mobile Flickr clients (ok, they’re not as popular as Twitter client, but they’re popular) here comes a new app I’ve just discovered forcing me to re-enter my Yahoo! credentials all over again. Portfolio To Go is a rather minimal and simple which, once given permissions to access your account, lets you quickly check on your profile and photosets. All you get is a “wall” main screen, where you can see all your photos organized in sets, and you also get nice thumbnail previews.
To open a photo, tap on it and the wall screen fades out to show you the single-picture preview. Animations are beautiful and fast. You can enter multiple account credentials, and the app will let you quickly switch between them via a popover view. You can also cache photos for offline access. This is perfect for photographers and designers who want to carry copies of their works around on the iPad, and indeed the “send to client” feature in the app lets them share photos in just a few taps.
Available at $4.99 in the App Store, Portfolio To Go for Flickr is a nice app for all those needing to add more accounts in a single app and check out photos in a simple and sleek view.
