The iPad Arcade Cabinet Finally Up for Auction on eBay

It all started as a joke and then it got real. Remember the iPad Arcade Cabinet project? Yes, that one. That was an early prototype build, now there’s a real and complete wooden one up for auction eBay UK.

From the eBay description page:

“This is built to hold your iPad and interfaces with arcade controls via bluetooth.

Currently compatible with ines, isnes, snes4iphone and PSX4ALL (found on cydia store on jailboken iPads) this is a fantastic accessory for your iPad and looks great on the desk with flat black centre and walnut effect sides this is truly a great example of a desktop arcade machine.

The nes and snes emulators run well the PSX emulator still needs some work from the developer but is getting better. I mainly play arcade game ports through the emulators and as the iPad arcade only has 4 play buttons a start and select button it does mean some snes titles are more tricky as there are no shoulder buttons.

The ipad Arcade just requires two AA batteries (not supplied) to power the bluetooth interface found in the back of the machine.”

Current bid? £80 with 90 days left. Want one? You’ll have to beat me.
