Apple Gets into iPhone Case Business with “Bumpers”

You may have noticed that during the keynote Steve saved some space to talk about iPhone 4 accessories, but I guess many people didn’t pay enough attention to Apple getting into the iPhone protection business with its Bumpers.

Apple’s website says that you can dress up your iPhone 4 with a Bumper. Just choose on of the six colors available - white, black, blue, green, orange, or pink - and slip it around the stainless steel edge of the iPhone to protect it. They’re colorful, they’re nice, I bet a lot of people will go crazy about them.

What’s really interesting though is what 3rd party manufacturers of similar products are going to do, now that Apple has become a direct competitor.
