When I reviewed the first version of MoneyBook for iPhone, I instantly fell in love with it. Great user interface, beautiful animations, easy to use and perfect to enter transactions on the go. No surprise it quickly become one of the most popular applications in the App Store. MoneyBook for iPhone was - and still is - the best personal finance management application currently available.
Now the question is, can an already great app be even better? Sure it can, and that’s exactly what happened with MoneyBook 2.0.
The developers added the possibility to define your own income and expense categories, which is just a great way to customize the app according to your needs. The interface has been refined, and it now shows that awesome texture we’ve seen anywhere on the iPad. (take a look at the screenshots)
But the biggie is, there’s an online version now. Called my.moneybookapp.com, it allows you backup and import all your transactions so that you won’t lose them anymore if something goes wrong with iTunes. But it’s not just an online backup tool: it’s a full featured webapp. You can see all your transactions in there, stats, graphs and export to .CSV. And as you can expect, it’s beautiful: it looks like a webapp inside the browser, and we like it. Great job, as usual.
Available at $4.99 in the App Store, MoneyBook 2.0 is a great update to an already must-have app for the iPhone. If you can’t wait, go download it. But if you can want to wait until Saturday, leave a comment below and get the chance to win one of the three promo codes the developers are offering to MacStories readers.
Good luck!
