Pull To Refresh for Mail Is A Dream Come True | Cydia

Since Loren Brichter first implemented the popular “pull to refresh” functionality in Tweetie 2 for iPhone, lots of other developers were inspired by him to do the same in their apps. Hundreds of other Twitter clients can do “pull to refresh”. Even the official Facebook app has pull to refresh. Now Apple’s Mail app for iPhone can, too.

Thanks to a tweak available in Cydia simply called “Pull To Refresh for Mail” you can download for free, the Mail app for iPhone allows you to scroll a list of messages and when you reach the top of the list, refresh it to check for new messages. Just like in Tweetie 2. I don’t know if this is based on Brichter’s own code or some open source alternative, but it just works.

Sure you can easily reach the refresh button on the iPhone, but this functionality hasn’t lost its original appeal. Plus, it’s free. Give it a try.
