My iPhone contacts are pretty much messed up. I don’t know why, maybe I did something wrong while syncing with Mac OS’ Address Book, probably it’s just that I need to pay more attention when I add new contacts. But anyway, I’ve got these duplicate contacts, wrong names and numbers, missing photos.
Some days ago I was emailed this neat application for review, and after some “real life” testing I’m sure I’ll keep this on my iPhone. It’s called RapidID, it’s a fast and great-looking contact “manager” for iPhone and we’ve got some copies to give away.
RapidID is what I would call a “simple application”. It’s got two and only two features, that of displaying your own phone number and adding new contacts to your Address Book. That’s really it. The main purpose of the this application is that of showing your telephone number quickly and easily, with a large font. Pretty much like a business card, just for your number. You can also choose between different fonts in the Settings, if you’re that type (no pun intended).
Then you can add contacts. Just tap on the contact icon, choose a name, insert a number. Done. Makes me think why Apple didn’t implement something like this in iPhone OS because you know, it’s not that all my friends belong to an “organization”.
The UI is somehow weird but nice. It represents a phone inside your phone, but the design is anyway well executed and pleasant to the eyes. Good job.
At $1.99 [iTunes Link], you might argue that RapidID is a little bit pricey and limited. I think that’s true, but if you’re gonna use it on a daily basis you should consider it. Fortunately, we’ve got a few promo codes to spare with you guys. Just follow the rules below to enter the giveaway.
