Reception Issues on iPhone 4? You Might Want to Reset Your Network Settings

TUAW is suggesting that if you’re experiencing reception issues on your iPhone 4 (1 or 2 bars in areas with strong signal instead), you should fire up Settings and reset your network.

Indeed, if you’re coming from an old iPhone backup (you restored in iTunes to keep data such as contacts and mail accounts on your device) there’s the possibility that the network settings are messed up and the iPhone loses bars. No, not lost in bars. But anyway, the trick seems to be working: that’s the method Geniuses are using to fix most of the reception problems, and it worked great for me as well. Sure the iPhone forgot some wifi passwords too, but no big deal.

Five full bars now, and that didn’t happen when I was on a 3GS. This antenna is definitely better.
