I tend to park in the same parking lots every time I go out. Maybe because my town is relatively small, or just because I’m that type of guy that enjoys getting used to things, I’ve gotten used to park my car in the same lots.
But when I go out of my town with my friends, it might happen that when it’s time to come back we spend a few minutes trying to remember where we left the car, and sometimes we also get lost in the attempt to find it. And when these situations occur, we have to thank Doseido for releasing Sally Park in the App Store.
I know there are many other parking apps in the App Store, but none of them has ever managed to impress me, both in terms of features and interface. Sally Park is simple, functional and looks great. It feels great, and it’s also priced at the competitive price tag of $1.99 - which is an important factor to consider in the App Store market.
With Sally Park, every time you park your car you just have to tap on a button to pin the current location, which uses the iPhone’s built in GPS to retrieve the accurate position of your car.
You can also attach notes and a picture to a parking spot, say a near building that might serve as a reference point for later. Then, when it’s time to go back, open Sally Park again and it will “drive” you back to your car. Simple as that, it just works.
Sally Park is one of those utilities you might not use every day, but it becomes a must have when you need it. It’s an app you won’t delete from your home screen, both because it works and looks great and because - yes - you’ll never know when you’ll need to find your car again. Go download it.
