SoundPrism by Audanika is one of the coolest music apps available for iPhone and iPad. Allowing you to create “always great music” that sounds “just right” by letting you tap on colored panels that produce different sounds, SoundPrism has gained attention amongst App Store dwellers thanks to its peculiar interface and innovative feature set.
The first version of SoundPrism, though, didn’t ship with recording capabilities. In the 1.1 update, released a few days ago, the developers added the possibility to record and email compositions both from your iPhone and iPad, together with a new option to create ringtones for your iPhone. I tested the features and they work pretty well. Surely a nice way to create “particular” ringtones for your iPhone, although I still prefer making a song I already know and love my default ringtone.
Besides recording features and ringtones, SoundPrism 1.1 also ships with improved bass and fuller sound, a smaller footprint (the app is now less than 20MB to download), and improved Pitch Space System.
If you loved SoundPrism before, this update is the usual icing on the cake that makes things better. At $4.99 in the App Store SoundPrism is highly recommended, mostly because you don’t need to a master musician to create good stuff with it.
