I’ve used Billings for invoicing and time tracking since shortly after I first started freelancing years ago. I recently (finally) upgraded to Billings Pro, and I’ve been testing out the most recent update to the apps for Mac and iOS. The latest version brings Apple Watch support, mobile estimates, and seamless integration of all of the Billings Pro features across all my devices.
Billings Pro has made my freelance estimates, tracking, and invoicing effortless, and the mobile counterparts offer full functionality from anywhere. I don’t do a lot of “field work,” but with the new estimate feature for mobile devices, you can hand off a quote and get started working from anywhere. It even allows you to edit and update an estimate from your mobile device, on the go.
One of the most useful aspects of Billings Pro for me is the ability to create timed “slips” for each part of a project, then start, pause and stop timers for each section. This is especially handy on mobile devices, and because information is stored on each device and synced when needed, you can always have your timers available even when you’re away from an internet connection.
The new Apple Watch features bring those timers right to your wrist, so you can access multiple timers and switch between them without even pulling out your phone. It makes Billings Pro even more useful for jobs that don’t involve sitting at your computer all day.
Tally up your timers and create a great-looking, customizable invoice from any of your devices. Send it on the spot and let Billings Pro handle account management, receipts, account balances, payment reminders, and more. It even integrates with QuickBooks and credit card terminals to make payments and tracking effortless.
I’ve come to rely on Billings Pro for a lot of what I do. If you’re a freelancer, contractor, or even running a small business, I highly recommend taking it for a spin with a free account and the Mac and iOS apps.
