So you guys voted for what are only the most badass, flesh eating, insane OS X applications for 2010 in the Ars Technica Design Awards. And if you didn’t, GTFO! Tonight, the results are in, and I bet you can guess which application won, “Best New OS X App.”
Leading the pack we have Transmit 4, winning the, “Best New OS X App” award. Transmit 4 was also a runner-up for “Best Mac OS X User Experience” (I honestly thing they should have won that too). That award went to Tweetie.
The “Most Innovative OS X Application” went to Dropbox, and the “Best Mac OS X App for Education” went to Papers. The “Best Student-created Mac OS X App” went to Schoolhouse 3, which was rightfully deserved (I use that for keeping track of all my college homework, grades, and studies).
The “Reader’s Choice Award” went to 1Password. Face it, if you’re a Mac user not using 1Password, you need to get it now.
So with the trophies presented and the wine uncorked, we can rest easy knowing that all of these great developers are well appreciated by the world’s greatest consumer community. Developers, keep pushing out great apps so we can do this again next year, and in the meantime, we have a WWDC to attend to!
