Apple Targeting Crummy Rip-off Marketers

Every time I look for something Apple-ish on eBay, I always encounter dozes of unauthorized accessories sold at a dollar with expensive as hell shipping. Either from Hong Kong or someone unpronouncable name in China, it’s not fun wading through the hundreds if not thousands of illicit items for sale.

Thankfully, Apple is taking on this jackassery via a lawsuit.

According to iLounge, Apple is suing Eforcity Corporation, Accstation, Itrimming, Everydaysource, United Integral, Crazyondigital, and Boxware Corporation claims that the companies are violating as many as 10 of Apple’s patents and additional trademarks.

Eforcity is probably the name I see the most when it comes to related headphones and cables, but I really just want some kind of magic filter that gives me wanted results instead of crappy knock-offs. The lawsuit affects products and marketers that haven’t followed Apple’s Made for iPod guidelines.
