Gameloft have announced today that they have sold more than 20 million games on the App Store and that they have 47 game releases so far this year.
Gameloft president Michel Guillemot was keen to emphasise that this figure is for paid downloads. He said that the first half of 2010 was “a new step” for gameloft and that “the launch of the iPad and iPhone 4 has opened new horizons for developers and allowed us once again to transform our consumers gaming experience.”
This is an amazing figure, especially as it was only January of this year that Gameloft announced they had sold 10 million games on the App Store.
The company will also be adding another 15 games to the current crop of 18 iPhone and 29 iPad games before the end of the year. These are said to include Assassins Creed: Altair’s Chronicles HD, NFL 2011 HD and Dungeon Hunter 2.
