Google: Turn-by-Turn Navigation Not Coming To The iPhone

Bad new, folks. Bad news. Yesterday MacUser reported that Google was thinking about porting its Android turn-by-turn navigation software to the iPhone (more than thinking, actually), but it turns out that PC World has talked with a Google spokesperson and they haven’t mentioned the iPhone. They’re not thinking about the iPhone at all.

“We did not say we would bring it to iPhone, we said to date we’ve had it on Android and that in the future it may come to other platforms but did not confirm this will be coming to iPhone at all,” a Google spokesperson told PCWorld.”

Well, so I guess TomTom and Navigon don’t have nothing to fear. Too bad, ‘cause it seems like Google’s service is very good.
