Not everyone has the iPhone 4, with its improved lithium-polymer battery that lets you work longer, play longer … you get the point. I charge my phone every night and even throughout the daytime to keep it alive. Designer Tjeerd Veenhoven has created the iFan - a piece of hardware / case made from molded soft rubber with a fan on top that recharges your iPhone via windpower. Wrap it around your iPhone and run like the wind; or maybe the bike mount concept appeals to you more.
So rather than plugging your iPhone into your computer or the wall every day/night, why not use the energy-efficient fan blades of the iFan to charge your iPhone while you’re at the beach, walking/running, playing Segway polo (I’m looking at you Woz!), or holding it outside your car window while driving (not recommended but better than texting while driving).
There’s no word on whether the process can be reversed (i.e. if the blades can be turned into a battery-powered cooling machine for those hot summer nights), nor a date of availability.
