When?
The iPad 2 will be available this Friday (March 11th) solely in the US with another 25 countries getting the iPad later this month on March 25th. The US prices will range from $499 to $829 which are the exact same as the original iPad’s prices. Prices for other countries are yet to be announced but as with the US prices it is expected that they will remain similar if not the same. On the topic of the original iPad, you can get them for heavily discounted prices now as stock is cleared.
Pricing and Availability
You can’t order the iPad 2 from the Apple online store yet but you will be able to starting from midnight March 11th whilst Apple retail stores will start selling them from 5PM on the 11th. Best Buy, Verizon, AT&T and Target will also be selling the iPad 2 at launch, and Sam’s Club and WalMart will also very likely be doing the same.

The iPad 2 will (like the original) be carrier unlocked, with the exception that the Verizon (CDMA) version cannot use GSM networks and vice versa, as the hardware is different.
