iPhone 4 Takes Down Apple.com

It seems like the iPhone 4 killed Apple’s website. Since Apple started pre-orders on its new device earlier today, many people reported that the website was slow, unresponsive and that they had to click multiple times to confirms their choices and try to get the order through.

Now Apple has taken down its website and presumably trying to come up with a solution to keep up with the (incredible?) demand for the new iPhone, which might turn out to be a bigger success than expected. It could also be that the new unibody Mac Mini contributed to the massive amount of traffic to the website. We’ll keep you posted as the Store goes back up.
