Today is Thursday, February 24, 2011. Today has been full of Apple news everywhere, especially here at MacStories. Today Federico, Cody, Graham and myself have been chugging hard on rumors, announcements, first looks, previews, etc. You name it, we’ve probably done it. With that said, lets talk about today some more.
5000 is a big deal to us. It all started in April of 2009 when an Italian Steve Jobs wannabe, i.e. Federico Viticci, started this weblog. Little did he know he’d be picking up some scrappy Mac geeks to join his team. Last year, Cody started full time and I also started in late 2010. Graham has since joined us earlier this year. I’d like to think we make a great team and all bring some special skills and talents to the MacStories round table. Our readership and audience continues to grow and we hope it keeps growing and growing (kinda like Cody’s ego).
Our ‘about’ page simply says this: MacStories is a weblog with daily coverage of all things Apple. iOS and Mac news, reviews, rumors, tutorials. Written by the Apple obsessed, to the Apple obsessed. I think ‘obsessed’ is the perfect word for our little team. We’re obsessed with Apple, obsessed with providing you, the reader, with accurate information and obsessed with making this one of the best damn Apple weblogs on the internet.
Let’s dump all the Apple rumors, announcements and hype for a few minutes to recognize someone very special to our apple shapes hearts - Mr. Steven Paul Jobs; today is his 56th birthday. In only 56 years on earth, Steve Jobs has accomplished what many couldn’t do in 56 lifetimes. As we all continue to pray, hope, wish, whatever, for Steve Jobs’ health, lets wish him a happy birthday. After all, without him many of use would probably have other vices like blogging about Windows or addicted to Palm. We at MacStories want to wish Mr. Jobs a very happy birthday and we hope there are plenty more!
If you want to make a public birthday wish to Mr. Jobs, HappyBirthdaySteveJobs.com is a site that was created only a couple of days ago, it has seen more than 45,000 visitors from 147 countries. It’s displaying more than 13,000 birthday wishes to Steve Jobs; so head on over and add a few more.
So, in conclusion, we are very proud of what Steve Jobs and MacStories has accomplished. We can’t wait until we can talk about 10,000 and 60. Now back to your regular schedules programming.
