Those familiar with Audanika know SoundPrism as a must have music creation app for their iPad. Just in time for the holidays, the same folks who’ve brought you a synthesized summer are bringing you some holiday cheer with their new SoundFlavors app, which is both free to download and a ton of fun for the holidays.

Walking you through classics like Jingle Bells and O Christmas Tree, you’re invited to walk your fingers along a music palette covered with expand circles that help guide you through the song. Similar to how Magic Piano can help walk you through various classics, SoundFlavors simply presents a fun opportunity to play, record, and share your favorite holiday tunes from your iPhone or iPad. I personally found this app to be entertaining (especially in front of the Christmas Tree), and I imagine the young ones in your family would find this to be an absolute delight. A fair warning, however, as with any music app you risk the impending little ones to simply enjoy banging on the screen than follow along with the song, but I promise the tunes created should remain rather pleasant regardless of whether one decides to follow along.
