Hardmac has come up with a snapshot of the next generation iPod touch in an acrylic case, claiming they’ve got an unnamed reliable source. Having a pretty good track record after exposing last year’s iPod nano cam, I’m crossing my fingers that this is the actual iPod touch we’ll be seeing in the not-too-distant future.
Unofficially dubbed the iPod touch 4, external features include a large camera lens and flash. It can also be noted that the back is curved rather than flat like the iPhone, though there is the appearance that the back may be aluminum rather than the shiny rear we’re used to.
The new design is in contrast to what we’ve been seeing all along: a third-gen looking iPod touch with a camera in the center.
