WirelessIris Focuses Multiple DSLR Cameras via iPhone

I’m not into photography or film, so I have no idea why focusing multiple DSLR cameras wirelessly would be beneficial when you can’t even look at what the hell you’re focusing - but don’t let my ignorance of such topics ruin a perfectly badass device. WirelessIris is an iPhone app that allows you to focus multiple lenses in conjunction with a receiver.

Engadget explains:

The fStop Wireless Receiver is an affordable WiFi receiver that’s compatible with most remote focus systems (common in the world of professional cinematography). Featuring multiple wireless channels and integration with the WirelessIris iPhone app, this bad boy will have you fussing with your camera’s controls from your spacious (and convenient) Apple touchscreen device in no time! That is, once you shell out $1,389 (or find a friend with very deep pockets).

We could tell you how cool this thing is, but you’re better off seeing it yourself in the video below. Is neat? Yeah! Is it practical? I have no idea.
