Rockin’ Rockets is a fully armed pick up and play title that offers a variety of challenges on multiple landscapes. You’ll unlock new scenarios as the game progresses, each presenting their own individual challenge that keeps Rockin’ Rockets fresh, interesting, and frenetic. There are many ways to die if you can’t keep up with the waves of alien onslaught, which leaves us wondering just what the heck happens after an alien abduction.

Thoughts of an alien cavity search aside, you have an infinite ammo supply, but limited “clips.” Depending on what you’re defending, you may have multiple fronts to protect, but usually gameplay consists of defending a main building and tapping a nearby supply to reload. Other levels are much more intense as your man runs back and forth from a pillbox to blast ground forces while you race back into your missile silo to stop the impending ariel threat. Enemy shields and firepower may prove to be overwhelming: you’re not only knocking enemy craft out of the sky, but their own bombs and missiles as well. It’s incredibly taxing on the thumbs (especially at harder difficulties), and our editor Graham liked playing the iPad version for more comfortable gameplay.
