Apple Launches “Compare Macs” Option in Apple Store

Here’s why store.apple.com was down last night, and we didn’t even notice this when it got back up. Apple added a new “Compare Macs” option to the Apple Store, as first noticed by The Loop. The new option allows you to, ehm, compare various Mac models: you can compare price, tech specs, software and even the environmental report for each model. The interface design, as Apple’s tradition, is absolutely beautiful. It’s also very easy to use.

Well done, Apple. This will sure come in handy. To try the new “Compare Macs” option, just select a Mac and hit the button in the top bar - or hit this direct link.

Would Apple buy a Game Developer?

What could Apple buy with a 150 million dollars? World peace probably, though that’s pretty overrated in my book. Apple is rumored to be intent on sealing the deal with a Chinese game developer by the name of Handseeing Information Technology, who specialize in Rich Internet Applications.

Two New Apple Stores Opening This Weekend

It looks like Steve wants more Apple Stores around the world. You know, he’s never satisfied - and can you blame it with those breaking earnings they posted earlier this week?

Anyway, as TUAW and Macsimum News report, two new Apple retail stores are opening this week: a new store in Lexington, KY opening this Saturday at 10am and another store in Columbus, OH.

Genius Bar to be Revamped

The Genius Bar consists of Apple’s most techie employees, those that can solve everything from a fried motherboard to bad hard drives and corrupted data. But these can-do-anything super men and women will be asked to do more, in hopes of making the customer support experience more efficient than ever.
