Verizon Launches First Official iPhone Commercial

It begins. Verizon has just launched its first official commercial for the iPhone 4, the very same iPhone that’s been in the Apple rumors for years. In case you missed it, it’s real and  it’s coming on February 10. The commercial is a little too dramatic, maybe, but I guess it’s also appropriate: Apple will sell millions of these things this year.

“To our millions of customers, who never stopped believing this day would come…”

T-Mobile’s New Commercial Pokes Fun at iPhone, Verizon

T-Mobile may hide its frustration for not having the iPhone with clever commercials, but it’s pretty clear that they would love to have the device on their portfolio. In their latest commercial, the carrier’s lady says that even on Verizon, the iPhone can’t compete with the 4G network offered by T-Mobile. Either Verizon or AT&T, 3G is slow.

“How do you tell them apart? Does one of them have nation-wide 4G like me?”, T-Mobile girl asks. Verizon guy replies: “No choice is still a choice”. I guess no iPhone choice is still a choice for T-Mobile, too. [Youtube via 9to5mac]

Apple Launches New iPhone 4 Ad “Under The Covers” To Promote FaceTime, Again

A few minutes ago Apple launched a new iPhone 4 commercial (available on Apple’s website and Youtube channel) to showcase, once again, the FaceTime capabilities of the device.

The commercial is called “Under The Covers” and features a kid who thinks he’s talking to Santa via FaceTime, while on the other device there’s his father dressed as Santa and calling him from their garage. It’s a pretty sweet commercial. In September, Apple launched a series of ads to showcase the iPhone’s FaceTime features in Europe; other FaceTime ads had appeared in the U.S. in July. Apple also targeted the iPhone 4’s battery life and Retina Display with commercials aired in the past months.

Apple Posts New iPad Ad To Showcase iOS 4.2 Features

A few minutes ago Apple posted a new iPad commercial on its website called “iPad is amazing”, aimed at showcasing the new features of iOS 4.2. Everything’s in there: AirPlay, AirPrint (although limited to some HP printers), multitasking and the usual selection of apps.

Surprisingly enough, no folders are shown in the video. As for the apps that made an appearance in the commercial, it’s nice to see the official TED app developed by Matt Drance in there.

We’re working on getting a Youtube version up as quickly as possible. In the meantime, check out the video here.

Update: Youtube embed below.

New iPhone 4 Commercial Is All About The Battery

Last night Apple launched a new iPhone 4 commercial focused on the amazing battery life of the device. The commercial, first spotted by TiPB, still isn’t available in a high quality version on Apple’s Youtube version, but you can find an embed below anyways.

As TiPB reports:

It’s broken up into work longer (Mail), play longer (a hockey game), laugh longer (Pixar’s Monsters Inc. movie), listen longer (iPod), shoot (Camera), edit (iMovie), share (MMS), update (Facebook), download (App Store), read (iBooks), write (SMS), and even FaceTime longer.

Apple also reminds people this is the “world’s thinnest smartphone”. We think it’s a good commercial, simple and effective as always. Check it out below.

Verizon’s First iPad Commercial [Video]

Fresh off Youtube, here comes Verizon’s first official iPad commercial. Featuring a man with an iPad on his lap and a Verizon MiFi unit, the ad outs the focus on the “magical iPad” now available on the nation’s most reliable network.

It’s very well done, Apple-ish yet aimed at promoting Verizon’s network. We like it. [via The Next Web]

T-Mobile Makes Fun of Apple’s FaceTime With “Get a Mac”-like Ad

With its latest ad to promote the MyTouch 4G, T-Mobile makes fun of Apple’s FaceTime restrictions (it only works on wifi, remember?) and blames AT&T for slowing down the entire iPhone 3G experience.

In the ad, very similar to the old “Get a Mac” ones, a young lady says “Hi. I’m a T-Mobile MyTouch 4G.”, then the camera reveals a man who says “And I’m an iPhone 4.” Another man is hanging on his back –he’s the old AT&T network. The ad goes on to say that Apple’s FaceTime works “everywhere there’s wifi, like in airports”, while you can make video calls anywhere with T-Mobile’s strong 4G network.

It’s a clever ad, and I like it. [via TUAW]
